  Smelling from another time entirely, this is a masterclass in what luxury smells like. Supple, crackling spices of cinnamon and pepper warm a trio of the most indulgent woods and ancient resins. A balm of syrupy-smoky myrrh is made all the more rich, merged with boozy benzoin, as both elegantly unfurl into a sturdy, rugged cedar softened by vanilla and a seductive patchouli heart reveling in its deep-woods green and sweet tones. It gets greener and bitter- orange bright as time passes, but the spiced, ambery resins remain uninhibited even as the scent pyramid seems to reverse and become fresher. The sillage is hypnotizing, formulated to absolute perfection at every moment. If you need a modern-antique amber, this is nothing less than a showstopper.
