Tournesol. The French word for sunflower deriving from the way flowers turn to track the movement of the sun during the day. Add in “noir” and this black sunflower is a modern interpretation of a ‘classical’ style fresh-fougere that stands apart from his golden siblings. This impossible bloom, its face a disc of midnight velvet petals drinking in the very light it refuses to reflect. Where others turn to the sun like faithful worshippers, it holds a dark gaze, elsewhere. Black petals in this earthy yet lush drydown giving off deep and burnished-purple hues, the color of ink spilled across old paper. The Tournesol Noir is the question the garden did not know it was asking: what grows in a soul that has learned to love the dark?

Notes include bergamot, armoise, french lavender, fern, acacia, mimosa, sunflower, ruh khus, oakmoss, vetiver, sandalwood, and musk.
