Amouage

Boundless Man

  • Try a sample first!

Refined and rich. Smoked, spiced and sophisticated. Upon first inhale, this essence is strong. But give it a moment and let it release. It eases into a smoothness that is polished and poised. Cardamom enters first as the resin of myrrh toils with beads of vanilla and hints of cherry from the tobacco that lingers throughout the wear. But it’s the incense note that really pulls us in closer. Hauntingly, it dawdles with the sweetness of bourbon vanilla and dries down with the amber and cacao notes in the most seamless of ways. There’s a sacredness here, as if you can almost imagine yourself walking through a middle eastern spice market on your way to a holy ceremony in the center of an ancient town.

Notes include cardamom, ginger, blood orange, elemi, bourbon vanilla, benzoin, tobacco, myrrh, incense, cacao, guaiac wood, patchouli, papyrus, vetiver, and oakmoss.

  • In 1983, the Sultan of Oman established Amouage in the hopes of reviving the Omani tradition of perfumery. The perfumes often feature traditional Middle Eastern perfume materials. In 2006, Amouage brought on creative director Christopher Chong, who oversaw a complete reinvention of the house and helped to expand the house's international appeal.
