The chess players’ dimly lit room where sharply-dressed, quiet gentlemen must achieve Zen-like mental states to emerge the victor. Time slows, and this fragrance develops like chess match, graceful and methodical. Bright bergamot is met with a duality of subdued spice – snappy black pepper and cool, green cardamom - that begin to intermingle with the classiest note of them all, the dusty, woody, old-timey floral of orris. Both bright and deep, modern and classical, this would be a gorgeous perfume right there. But stick around, and you’ll start to notice a stately, ambery tobacco - measured smokiness, aged molasses sweetness. Pure meditative elegance suspended in glass.
