Introducing: DedCool

Growing up in the family’s beauty business and lab, Carina Chaz may have been destined to make the world smell good all along.

DedCool was founded in 2016, when she was just 22 years old, and a self-taught perfumer by then, with an entire laboratory as her training ground. Always gravitating toward traditionally “masculine” scents, Carina decided DedCool would reject the way the traditional fragrance industry operates and make a 21^st Century definition of it.

The house started humbly, Carina perfuming and bottling everything herself, showing it on Instagram, and then knocking on local retail shops’ doors, slowly building her relationships. This blossomed into boutiques with the bottles ultimately ending up in blockbuster retail stores, and now…

These gender-free fragrances are manufactured in-house with a focus on high-quality, non-toxic, biodegradable, vegan ingredients with a major focus on taking care of the one earth we have.

Dedcool’s manufacturing facilities are certified carbon neutral through Terrapass carbon offsets funding reforestation, wind-powered farms and landfill gas capture to remove environmental carbon. Dedcool’s packaging is also a little disruptive, consistently focusing on sustainability at every turn with easily-recyclable aluminum, biodegradable printed inks, refillable products, and a partnership with Pact Collective for anything DedCool that may be a little more difficult to recycle (like any empties).  Additionally, 1% of sales go to 1% For The Planet.

Even the juice inside has been deconstructed to use no water and no fillers, rather opting for a blend of organic extracts like borage, cucumber, kelp, and grapefruit to help nourish your skin with every spray too.

Ok, but how does it smell? Well, you can pick. Their popular fragrances highly encourage layering, specifically releasing Milk and Xtra Milk for a natural, creamy muskiness, either subtle or amped-up, that go with every single one of their selections beautifully. Or you can smell like you simply have a magic, skin-close, creamy aura that you just woke up with by wearing them alone.

Otherwise, you can smell like an open window in Springtime with Fragrance 05, a flower in a power suit with Madonna Lilly, or the happiest getaway garden ever planted with the aptly named Smiley Face Garden.
