Before you smell it, take a look at the list of notes. You're probably not sure what to expect from that lineup, and that's one reason we love Carner Barcelona. The house makes perfumes that defy convention and forge their own paths, and Tardes is a perfect example. It's is a stunningly beautiful perfume with a wistful, airy quality, thanks in part to the famous melancholy character of heliotrope. Wearing it feels like being on the cusp of memory, like having the sense of a time long gone -- you can't put your finger on it, but you know that you miss it.
But Tardes is also peaceful and harmonious, and the combined effect is the sense that even though the past is gone, you can still use it to inform the good you'll create in the future. (Sound like a lot to read into a perfume? Yeah. That's what we do.) Notes include Egyptian geranium, bulgarian rose, rosewood, almond, cedar, celery, plum, tonka bean, musk, heliotrope.
