Olfactum Fragrances

Zanzibar Sample

  • This is a 2 ml spray sample. Find the full bottle here.

Zanzibar, a famous spice route linking the East to the West, eager traders used spices of cinnamon, saffron, clove, and cardamom for currency. In fragrance form, Zanzibar pays homage to these courageous merchants who risked their lives on the profitable, albeit dangerous, sea routes off the coast of Tanzania. Fully spiced, opulent and rich, we fell in love with the bushman’s candle resin that inserts a waxed texture with distinct, liquid honeyed hues. Guaiac wood, incense and labdanum combine for a smoky, dry wood effect with an animalic amber finish.

Notes include benzoin, black pepper, bushman’s candle resin, cardamom, cinnamon, cumin, ginger, guaiac wood, honey, incense, labdanum, orange blossom, patchouli, rose, saffron, tonka bean, and vanilla.
