A fragrance made out of a single ingredient called cetalox, Not a Perfume is clean, pure and unique. Usually used in perfumery as a base note, it plays the lead role here giving off an ambery, musky, wood aroma. Another advantage of this particular composition, is that it is entirely allergen free. The result is minimalistic, yet intoxicating. Our advice...wear it a few times and see what happens. Some people say they cannot smell it at all, others say they can't smell it on themselves but can smell it on others. Yet others say they can smell it all of the time.

What’s cetalox? An aroma molecule that was created to mimic ambergris, the rock-like substance that washes up the ocean’s shore from sperm whale regurgitation (yep, it’s sperm whale vomit). But in perfumery, ambergris is known as liquid gold for its naturally animalic and musky aroma, as well as its ability to bring intense staying power to a fragrance. Fun fact: Cetalox is hypoallergenic, so this fragrance is 100% allergen-free!

  • Initiated into the world of fashion by his great grandmother Nina and to perfumery by his grandfather Robert, creator of the famous perfume L’air du Temps, Romano Ricci has been surrounded by fashion and creation since childhood. Ricci decided to marry his family’s heritage with his own modern vision of perfumery. After a four-year apprenticeship in perfumery, he persuaded Francis Kurkdjian, master perfumer, to work with him in creating Juliette Has A Gun. The brand envisions a Shakespeare's Juliette as a modern woman who uses perfume as a weapon of seduction.
