Mosaic tells the story of a single day within the steamy stone walls of a spring-fed, Roman-style bathhouse. In the novel of the same name, the narrative intensifies "until hundreds of years of lascivious history bubble to the surface and are callously scrubbed away in this bold debut by newcomer Warren Hahn." But like all of the perfumes from Imaginary Authors, the backstory is part of the perfumer's invention, too. Mosaic is a sheer, cooling veil of citrus, wood, and mineral water that—much like a mosaic under shimmering water—shows a different face depending on the direction from which you look. Perfumer Josh Meyer created Mosaic for Portland's Spruce Apothecary, and we're excited to bring it to you. Notes include petitgrain, bergamot, oakmoss, cedarwood, limestone, and artesian well.
Josh Meyer is the creator and perfumer of Imaginary Authors out of Portland, Oregon. Each perfume in his debut line of seven gorgeous, quirky scents has an imaginary author to match. Read a Q&A with Josh or learn more at www.imaginaryauthors.com.
Mosaic was created for Portland's Spruce Apothecary and designed to capture the essence of a Roman-style bath in Baden-Baden, Germany.
