Eight & Bob is a warm, spiced citrus with a fanciful back story that makes delightful use of the role of narrative in perfume. As the legend goes, a young man of Parisian society, Albert Fouquet, created his own signature scent in 1937 with the help of the family butler. Soon after, when Fouquet met a dashing American student with the initials of JFK, the student was enamored of the scent. When JFK returned to the States, he requested his own stock of eight bottles "and, if your production allows," he said, "another one for Bob." Not the best husband, that JFK, but at least he was thinking about his brother. Bonus: The packaging of this perfume is some of the coolest we've seen. Notes include citrus, spice accord, violet, iris, cedar, sandalwood, guaiac, and ambergris.
Eight & Bob is said to have been created by a young Parisian aristocrat in 1937.
