Azemour Les Orangers is homage to the Moroccan orange groves of perfumer Marc-Antoine Corticchiato's childhood. Its composition unfolds in marvelous phases, beginning with a burst of photorealistic orange that quickly gives way to a fresh greenness. What follows is a mossy dry down that takes perfume lovers back to the glory days when fragrances used real oakmoss. Notes include orange, clementine, tangerine, grapefruit, coriander, cumin, black pepper, pink pepper, blackcurrant, galbanum, neroli, geranium, orange blossom, rose, hay, moss, and henna.
Marc-Antoine Corticchiato, founder of Parfum d'Empire, was born in Morocco and spent his childhood between the citrus groves of the city of Azemmour and his family home in Corsica. He holds a PhD in the chemistry of perfume plants and completed his perfume training at the legendary ISIPCA perfumery school in Versailles. He founded Parfum d'Empire in 2003 to explore the connections between perfume and conquest.
Azemour Les Orangers was inspired by time spent among the orange groves of the perfumer's childhood.
