You’re on an island in the middle of the ocean. It’s 7 a.m., and the sun is just rising, slowly warming the sand. This is where Aurore Nomade starts, showering us with banana flower, cinnamon, and rum so true and delectable that you can almost taste them. As this delicious curtain is slowly pulled back, traces of marine notes begin to intermingle with white, indolic flowers that cozy up to clove and nutmeg under the shade of a frangipani tree. The base quickly rises up and wraps the melange of fruit, flower, and light spice in a warm blanket of spiced vanilla, sandalwood, and the radiant amber-floral of immortelle absolute. The Different Company is masterful at creating a sense of place, and these notes weave in and out, chasing each other along the island. Buying a bottle should count as a vacation. Notes include banana flower, starfruit, cinnamon, marine notes, rum, davana, ylang-ylang essential oil, geranium of Egypt, clove, frangipani tree, nutmeg, indol, immortelle absolute, sandalwood, amber, vanilla, and musk.
The Different Company is a creative collaboration of some of the world's top perfumers to create modern French perfumes.
