Like an elixir, Intense Cedrat Boise is an intensified version of its ever popular, Cedrat Boise. This is the first time Mancera has recreated a fragrance in an intense version, this perfume extrait is at a 45% concentration level, so you know this is a “spray lightly” “wear with caution”, good caution, as it has great longevity but has the ability to stay close to the skin. With the summer heat, the sillage can grow but it is still very wearable in high heat. This extrait de parfum opens with a sharp, zesty burst of blackcurrant and citrus while quickly laying down with a sexy heart of jasmine and patchouli beneath the fruity freshness. Remaining lively for hours before slowly melting into a sumptuous base of cedar, leather and musky oakmoss with an amber feel that warms with the black and pink pepper notes.
Fun Fact: The original launched in 2011 with the intense version launching in Europe first in 2021 and in 2022 in the US. We feel the smooth, creamy sandalwood in both the original and the intense versions. The main difference between the two is that the Intense version is not as sweet and not as fruity as the original. Woods, oud and amber notes tone down the sweetness and the fruitiness so it isn’t as dominant as they are in the original so the wearing experience and differences are definitely something to explore.
Notes include bergamot, lemon, black & pink pepper, blackcurrant, patchouli leaves, suede leather, cambodian oud, white sandal, amber gris, musk, vanilla, and wild oakmoss.
