Bluehill Fragrances

Blue Smoke Sample

  • This is a 2 ml spray sample. Find the full bottle here.

While the name may imply that smoke is the dominant note here, there’s much more depth beyond the name. It’s not black or even grey smoke, it’s blue smoke. A sheer blue smoke, translucent and fascinating. Its aroma is a complex yet smooth smokey incense, toned back by waves of blue cypress that meets wildflower nerolina: a fresh, diffusive, cineolic (eucalyptus-like) aroma with a fruity-floral, neroli-like back note. A fragrance for all seasons and all genders, the magic is in Sandy Carr’s ability to make smoke translucent and extremely approachable.

Notes include wildcrafted nerolina, blue cypress, incense, smoky woods, myrrh, smoke, and musk.

  • Sandy Carr was born in Rochester, NY, into a family who enthusiastically encouraged exploration, discovery and creativity. From her earliest memories she can recall being inspired by the natural culture of her surroundings and attracted to the sensory arts – fascinated with visual imagery, sounds, textures, and unique and compelling smells and tastes. She followed her nose to the Grasse Institute of Perfumery, studied her craft, influenced by her love for the natural beauty of Boston and the New England area. Having spent many happy hours on the trails of the Blue Hill Reservation, which inspired her first creation, she lovingly named her company BLUEHILL Fragrances.
